Zanu PF councillor distance himself from ZimPF

Zanu PF Ward 10 councillor, Lovemore Mufamba (pictured above) has distanced himself from the just launched Zimbabwe People First and insisted that linking him to that party is tantamount to soiling his good image.

Masvingo Mirror reported Mufamba was reacting to a Mirror article in the last issue which claimed that Mufamba was with ZPF.

Mufamba said through his lawyers, Saratoga Makausi Law Chambers that associating him with ZPF has caused harm to his reputation or estimation which he is held by others.

"In other words, associating our client with ZPF has soiled his good name and standing not only in the eyes of Masvingo but Zanu PF as a whole," said the letter from his lawyers.

It also said that Mufamba is now being shunned or avoided in Zanu PF circles. He has also been exposed to hatred, ridicule and contempt, the letter added.

"Our client is a Zanu PF councillor for Ward 10 Masvingo and has never been part of Z.P.F at any time. It is our client's view that your journalist abused the journalistic privilege granted upon him by reporting a story which he has not attempted to get the personal attitude of the individual concerned as to the truthfulness or otherwise of  the written information," said the letter
