A man was severely injured after being attacked by MDC-T supporters for alleged trespassing.

The victim is alleged to have passed through Harvest House, the MDC-T's headquarters in Harare while wearing a 21st February Movement t-shirt and a cap that had President Robert Mugabe's picture.

Kenny Chabwana, a Zanu PF campaign manager for Makoni North constituency escaped death by a whisker after he was brutally attacked by MDC-T supporters.

His crime was allegedly passing near the MDC-T headquarters while wearing a 21st February Movement t-shirt.

The ZBC News caught up with Chabwana who suffered severe head and eye injuries at central police station where the case was reported.

An eye witness told the ZBC that Chabwana is lucky to be alive as some of the MDC-T youths who were wielding knives failed to catch up with him.

The victim is admitted at Parirenyatwa hospital.

Sources say Harvest House is normally manned by violent people who sometimes attack police officers when they pass through.
