Air Zimbabwe says significant ground has been covered in engaging the London stakeholders for the resumption of flights.
The national flag carrier is currently pushing for network growth.
"Our current business strategy is anchored on the need to return to profitability and route network expansion," said Air Zimbabwe Acting CEO, Mr Edmund Makona.
Air Zimbabwe has not been servicing the route since 2012 after creditors threatened to seize its planes over debts.
The national airline is currently operating from Harare to Johannesburg, Lusaka, Victoria Falls and Bulawayo.
Of the current routes, the Harare-Johannesburg route is the most lucrative.
