Masvingo province has a monthly requirement of 5373 metric tonnes meant for the vulnerable households but only received 3 915 tonnes of maize leaving a deficit of 1 458
Mahofa (74) resumed duties on Tuesday last week after nearly four months on the sidelines suffering from an undisclosed ailment that saw her at one time hospitalised in South Africa.
She was initially expected to return to work on March 5, but postponed the date to regain strength.
