Mnangagwa likened the 'dissidents' to cockroaches

Speaking at a rally at Victoria Falls where he shared a platform with two other ministers, Cde Munangagwa said the government had on countless occasions warned that tough measures would be taken if acts of banditry persisted.

Likening the dissidents to cockroaches and bugs, the minister said the bandit menace had reached such epidemic proportion that the government had to bring in 'DDT' (Five Brigade) to get rid of the bandits.

He said the Five Brigade's sole mission in Matabeleland North was to get rid of the dissidents and their helpers for people in the region to enjoy the fruits of independence like their counterparts
