President Robert Mugabe, says Africa and the third world are still very weak to ward off imperialist intentions as seen in the Libyan case.
President Mugabe was speaking in the Mozambican capital, Maputo, during the 25th commemoration of the death of the late Mozambican President, Samora Machel.
Mugabe was speaking on why Africa had folded its arms as regime changes are effected in North Africa under the guise of the Arab spring.
He said the Africa, represented by the founding fathers, is different from today's Africa as the crop of leadership fails to understand the bigger picture of the former colonial powers.
He said the situation in Libya clearly demonstrates Africa's collective inability to stop the marauding western forces.
President Mugabe said Africa has to re-strategise following this development.
He was speaking three days before Colonel Gaddafi was killed by NATO forces.
Meanwhile, a Christian-based organisation, Tehillar Christian Network says the murdering of the Libyan leader, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi is an imperialist agenda of the west to eliminate African revolutionary leaders.
In a statement, the network's founding president, Reverend Sam Malunga said the brutal killing of Colonel Gaddafi is part of the regime change agenda aimed at replacing the Libyan leader with a puppet.
Reverend Malunga said the African-American Obama is being used as a front to cause unrests on the African continent as evidenced by the disturbances in Egypt and other parts of the continent.
He said the works of the prophetic Muammar Gaddafi should be cherished as he advocated for the creation of the United States of Africa.
Reverend Malunga said Gaddafi's pan-Africanist ideology of having a united Africa that resists white supremacy over other races should not be left to die.
He called on African leaders, organisations and communities to condemn the brutal killing of Colonel Gaddafi by NATO forces.
