CSOs launch stakeholders report

Zimbabwean CSOs on Tuesday 22 March 2016 launched a Stakeholders Report on Zimbabwe's 2nd Cycle Universal Periodic Review.
The report was prepared jointly by more than 60 Zimbabwean civil society organisations that have been monitoring the implementation of 130 recommendations accepted during the United Nations Universal Periodic Review of Zimbabwe in October 2011.
The report highlights progress by the government in implementing recommendations, identifies gaps and proffers recommendations for President Robert Mugabe's administration to fulfill its obligations under the United Nations human rights framework.
