Manicaland appoints Zanu-PF youth chair

Zanu-PF Manicaland youth executive yesterday unanimously agreed to elevate Mubuso Chinguno to be its substantive chairperson.

Chinguno, who has been the acting chairperson since last year, replaces Kelvin Manyengavana, who alongside Getrude Mutandi (secretary for finance) and Washington Ziwiwi, were ousted through a vote of no confidence last year for contravening the party's constitution, among other allegations.

The trio also had a prohibition order issued against them by Zanu-PF Manicaland vice-chairperson, Joseph Mujati, barring them from conducting any party business pending the finalisation of their matter.

Chinguno has been leading the youth league since then.
