Mugabe behaves exactly the same as Ian Smith - ZimPF

A member of the Zimbabwe People First, Methuseli Moyo has said President Robert Mugabe behaves exactly the same as the former Rhodesia Prime Minister Ian Smith who during his rule claimed that black majority were happy under his rule yet people were plotting war top remove his government due to his oppression.
The remarks come at a time when President Mugabe told Japanese journalists that people of Zimbabwe were the ones who were happy to have him rule the country for such a long time and who so ever want to blame him must instead blame the people of Zimbabwe for electing him.
"The late Ian Smith, former Rhodesian Prime Minister, claimed that Africans in his country were the happiest on earth, when the same Africans were in the middle of a vicious war against his minority government," Moyo said.
"Today, President Mugabe, at a time when people both within his party (by his own admission) and outside it are busy mobilizing for his removal, says they would be angry if he retired. What irony!"
