Tsvangirai critique says MDC-T slept on the job

MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai's critique Allan Wenyika has said Tsvangirai and his namesake party are finally smelling the coffee after many years of sleeping on the job, as they now tell the people they are planning the "mother of all demonstrations" against Mugabe.
"We're told, by one of Tsvangirai's publicists, that this time the "final push" will take place on the 14th of this month where the whole country will take to the streets to demonstrate against Zimbabwe's worsening economic fortunes. Really?" he said.
"What Tsvangirai is not telling us is that he is desperate to remain relevant in the fast changing Zimbabwean political climate. Gone are the good old days where his party was the only talk in town. The focus has begun to shift to towards other opposition parties. And donors naturally go where there's action."
He said he thinks Tsvangirai is now having sleepless nights trying to contemplate a new future where there's no media attention.
"It's a bleak future with no donor funds to spend with his women. Will someone please tell him that sleeping on the job is bad for one's political career. Sleeping on the job for 16 years is even worse. It causes so much anxiety when people begin to see through you," he said.
"I hope those who will go into the streets for Tsvangirai's fading brand will do it knowingly."
