'Bona is about to give birth,' says Mugabe

President Robert Mugabe is due to be a grandfather soon after disclosing that her daughter - Bona is in the Far East and about to give birth.

Mugabe, 92 revealed this to mourners on Saturday at the late Victoria Chitepo's funeral.

Mugabe said her wife Grace is with their daughter Bona.

"She is about to give birth, it's a matter of days…" he said.

Bona is who married to Simba Chikore at a lavish wedding on March 1, 2014.

Since their wedding, the issue of the pair having a child has been the subject of social media speculation for some time now.

Bona's traditional marriage was held at Mugabe's Zvimba rural home in August 2013.
