Masvingo Magistrate Langton Ndokera has cleared Admire Mufamba of any wrong doing after he was dragged to court charged with disorderly conduct in a public place after he allegedly used abusive language against a Zanu PF supporter.
Masvingo Mirror reported that Mufamba who is a Zimbabwe People First member was accused of abusing Herbert Guni of Zanu PF by telling him that he supported a party led by an old blind person and this was in reference to President Robert Mugabe.
The State said that Mufamba approached Guni who was seated and wearing a cap with a picture of President Mugabe and removed the cap from the complainant's head and threw it in a dust bin before telling him that President Mugabe was old and blind.
However, Rodney Saratonga Makausi of Saratoga and Makausi Law Chambers who represented Mufamba said the witnesses in the State case were not credible, he said the issue could only have been raised because there is generally bad blood between the two because they belong to different political parties.
Magistrate Ndokera found Mufamba not guilty and set him free
