Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Foundation official Mehluli Moyo has said it was sad that most of the leader in government from Matabeleland region no longer stand for the interest of their people but are concerned about keeping their jobs and having individual bread on their tables while many of their people are suffering.
Moyo made the remarks when the Mthwakazi Republic Party presented grocery to a former Zipra cadre David Moyo whose liberation war name was Sharp Shoot.
MRP donated the goods to Moyo indicating that it was an honour for his hard work in fighting for the liberation of Zimbabwe since the government of Zanu OPF has failed to recognise him.
It is sad that some of the people who never went through the hard struggle like Moyo are currently enjoying themselves while Moyo and others who fought hard are not recognised," he said. "Some of the people who are leaders fail to recognise these people because they fear to lose their bread. We hail MRP for honouring such neglected heroes and we respect Moyo for choosing to remain loyal to his own people while other chose to enjoy and forget about us. He has not betrayed us and the values of the liberation struggle."
Moyo urged MRP to continue looking for more need cadres and assist them and bemoaned the system which does not recognise people of such value.
