Satanist convicted of 17 counts of rape

Timothy Musakanya a 27 year old serial rapist who threatened more than 10 women with Satanic attacks before ravaging them was yesterday convicted on 17 counts of rape and robbery by Harare magistrate Hosea Mujaya.

Musakanya, who initially denied the charges, will be sentenced today. Musakanya was charged with 22 counts, including assault and attempted rape charges, when he initially appeared in court.

He was acquitted on five counts after the victims failed to testify.

In his defence, Musakanya argued that the victims were his clients who used to borrow money from him and were supposed to pay back with interest.
