Former ZBC radio presenter Eric Knight has mocked the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Lazarus Dokora for announcing that teachers will start wearing uniforms starting July this year.
Knight said now some more interesting News from Zimbabwe that the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education has just announced that as from July all teachers in the country will wear a uniform, just like Nurses, Policemen soldiers etc.
"The Uniform shall be donning national colours. May I know how for goodness sake that changes anything considering the current educational status quo in my country. How does it help anybody anywhere and anyhow," he said. "Surely as a nation we have some bigger fish to fry that concentrating on such micky mouse issues. Also, does someone just wake up from his bed in the morning and decides to implement such decisions without consulting all stakeholders simply because he is the Minister?"
He said that is what is called ruling.
