Zim govt committed to boosting productivity: Mujuru

Vice President Joice Mujuru says government is committed to mobilising lines of credit to assist local industry in restoring productivity to full capacity, the ZBC News reported on Wednesday
Officially launching the 2011 Manufacturing Sector Survey to government representatives as well as captains of industry and commerce in the capital, Vice President Joice Mujuru said government will continue to work with the private sector in mobilising funds for recapitalisation.
"We remain committed to boosting productivity through mobilising credit lines," said Vice President Mujuru.
She also revealed that in spite of funding challenges affecting local industry, Zimbabwe's companies continue to be resilient as evidenced by improved business confidence.
"Industry has shown resilience and that is really commendable," added VP Mujuru.
The 2011 Manufacturing Sector Survey has been presented at a time when local industry is in need of fresh capital to recapitalise operations.
