A SERIAL rapist, who was recently jailed for 76 years after he lured 11 women by promising them employment in Harare before raping them, will be back in court to answer to more charges of rape and robbery after another victim emerged.
Trymore Musakanya also lured a woman from Norton on the pretext that he had secured employment for her at his sister's shop in Harare.
Musakanya allegedly raped the woman twice before robbing her. All in all, Musakanya raped 16 women in a bushy area after telling them that he was a Satanist. The 27-year-old, who was facing 22 counts of rape and robbery, was jailed two weeks ago by regional magistrate Mr Hosea Mujaya.
He was however, convicted of 17 counts after a full trial. On the other five counts, the complainants were not available with some being said to have crossed the boarders therefore the charges were dropped.
If the other five victims are to show up, Musakanya could face more charges.
Magistrate Mr Hosea Mujaya sentenced him to a combined 92 years behind bars before setting aside 16 years for four years on condition he does not commit a similar offence within that period.
Musakanya will serve an effective 76 years in jail. In the new case, Musakanya called the complainant's aunt on November 6 last year and misrepresented that his sister was looking for a shop assistant to work in her shop. The said aunt then informed her niece who became interested and contacted Musakanya.
They proceeded to Harare on November 9 and disembarked at Belvedere Vehicle Inspection Department and walked through the bushes on the pretext they were going to his sister's house.
He then raped her in a bushy area.
