THE Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) is building two schools in Bulawayo, one high school and the other one a primary school. Ezekiel Guti Primary School is located in Cowdray Park suburb and the high school, which is named after the church founder's wife, Eunor Guti Academy, is located in Kingsdale suburb.

The church yesterday celebrated its 56th anniversary at Queens Sports Ground with its founder Apostle Professor Ezekiel Guti calling on the people to fear God and desist from sin.

The Minister of State for Bulawayo Metropolitan Province, Nomthandazo Eunice Moyo, took part in the celebrations. The celebrations are being held under the theme: "Through the Kingdom of God the anointing will break the stronghold."

Apostle Ezekiel Guti, who was accompanied by Archbishop Eunor Guti, said maintaining the principle of the gospel of Christ has made him successful in leading his ministry over the years.

"Fear the Lord and sin not," said Guti. The church, which recently opened a university in Bindura, is also constructing two schools Bulawayo. "We have two schools which are currently under construction in Bulawayo.

"The first one is called the Ezekiel Guti Primary School and is located in Cowdray Park. The other one is a high school called Eunor Guti Academy located in Kingsdale," said Cliff Madamba, a church elder. Guti founded ZAOGA in 1960 and since then he has been able to open thousands of churches around the world.

He has over the years founded ministries that serve specific areas in the lives of people which include African Christian Business Fellowship (ABCF), ministry to the blind, ministry to the disabled and Forward in Faith College among others.

He has also built the Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) in pursuit of the "development of a total man inside and out while spreading Christian morals in society." The church also runs a 24 hour television station Ezekiel TV.
