MDC-T Vice president Thokozani Khupe has called for the people of Zimbabwe to challenge government on its introduction of the bond notes reminding them of the hyper inflationary period of 2008.
"We were in Chachacha Shurugwi South yesterday. The recent government policy to introduce bond paper money is of great concern to us all, as a Nation and as a party. One can recall the industrial circulation of the Zimbabwean dollar, which consequently lead to hyperinflation from 2008 onwards. We were all poor millionaires as a result," posted Khupe on her Facebook wall.
"We call upon all Zimbabweans and party members to challenge the decision of the government, by positively rejecting this policy. It is therefore important that, we rally together with one voice and one mind against misgovernance for a better Zimbabwe."
Government is set to introduce the bond notes in two months time.
