War vets boss loses property over debt

The Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association spokesman Douglas Mahiya's household property has been attached by the Sheriff of the High Court following failure to pay a debt owed to a local tobacco firm, Tobacco Tinte.

The firm ha d to seek legal recourse to recover an undisclosed amount after Mahiya failed to pay for services rendered to him.

The property went under the hammer yesterday by public auction and sold to the highest bidder.
