Zanu PF National Chairman, Simon Khaya Moyo says Zimbabwe has no intentions of re-joining the Commonwealth of Nations despite calls by its members for the Southern African nation to be re-admitted.
Khaya Moyo's statements following reports from Perth, Australia, at a Commonwealth summit of government heads held in late October where members were said to be looking forward for Zimbabwe to join the group of former British colonies.
Ambassador Khaya Moyo said it is surprising that Zimbabwe never expressed its willingness to re-join the group of nations which has become racist, but already there is talk of Zimbabwe to rejoin it.
Zimbabwe pulled out of the Commonwealth group of countries in 2003, a move that shocked the West as they thought they were putting the country in a corner.
Ever since Zimbabwe has intensified its look east policy which has yielded numerous beneficial programmes for the Southern African country.
