Zimbabwean airports in major upgrades

Zimbabwe has begun measures to give a facelift to Harare and Kariba airports to cope with the expected increase in domestic and international flights and meet international standards.
Transport minister Joram gumbo said that government was partnering private investors for the multi-million dollar projects.
However the refurbishments ad extensions of the Harare international airport requires close to $400 mln under a 10 year plan to host anticipated increased traffic.
Gumbo said his ministry in association with the civil aviation authority of Zimbabwe was also I the process of looking for SA partner for the refurbishment of the Kariba airport.
