Ailing Tsvangirai to lead Bulawayo demo from the front

Ailing MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai will lead Saturday street protest in Bulawayo from the front, his party has said.

Addressing a press briefing this afternoon, MDC –T National Organising Secretary, Abedinico Bhebhe said Tsvangirai would be available.

"I assure you all MDC-T leadership including myself and president (Tsvangirai) will lead from the front. Mark my words," said Bhebhe.

Bhebhe said preparations are at an advanced stage and "meetings are ongoing till sunset."

Asked on the significance of the demonstrations, Bhebhe said there was no need for 'tangible results' to be seen.

MDC-T expect to have more than 10 000 participants.

Tsvangirai is recovering from an undisclosed ailment in South Africa.

The Saturday demonstration comes days after rival Zanu-PF staged a One Million Man March on Wednesday in Harare.
