Lack of funding towards women empowerment initiatives has been cited as a threat to sustainable and inclusive economic development.
A local company, the Zimbabwe Amalgamated Housing Association (ZAHA) has made it a priority to complement government efforts in empowering and capacitating women.
Government has prioritised inclusive economic development through availing economic opportunities to women and youths under the economic blueprint, ZIMASSET.
"ZAHA has been actively involved in women empowerment initiatives and supporting less privileged members of the community," ZAHA Director, Mr Killer Zivhu said.
The businessman also said there is need to ensure that women have access to critical resources in order to assist them to reach their full potential.
