Mushore in battle to control Harare

James Mushore embattled Harare town clerk, has instructed chamber secretary, Josephine Ncube to stop acting in his (Mushore) position and start reporting to his office immediately, as the ex-banker flexes his muscle in the battle to control the capital.

Mushore, whose appointment as town clerk in April was reversed by Local government minister, Saviour Kasukuwere, yesterday said that he was now in full control at Town House and wanted Ncube to revert back to her old position. Ncube has been acting town clerk since Tendai Mahachi's ouster last year.

She was among those tipped to take over from Mahachi, but was unsuccessful in the interviews.
