Police have arrested the suspected killer driver, whose kombi rammed into two people, killing a Harare Girls High School pupil.
The suspect, Wadzanayi Mabika (42) will appear in court facing charges of negligent driving and culpable homicide, among others.
Police Spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said the suspect, who faces five counts which include culpable homicide and four others for contravening sections of the Roads Traffic Act had escaped to South Africa after the incident.
However, law enforcement agents tracked him and were able to arrest the fugitive who had received financial assistance from one, Jane Ngano who stays in Norton to cross the border into Polokwane.
The two; Munyaradzi Zhou (25) and Ngonidzashe Mundoringisa (22) pretended to be police officers and even had fake identity cards.
Police suspect the two for masterminding a spate of robberies and have called on members of the public who have previously been robbed either of cash, valuables or motor vehicles to come forward.
