VP Joice Mujuru's constant public statements that she is still unaware of the contents of a police probe on the tragic death of her husband retired army commander Solomon Mujuru nearly 4 months ago have begun to raise eyebrows, NewsDay claims.
This comes amid doubts that given her position in government and in Zanu-PF and as widow of the late general, she could not for so long remain in the dark.
There is strong suspicion that VP Mujuru might be having an idea of what is going on regarding the late Retired General Solomon Mujuru's death.
Further, Zanu PF has reportedly instituted a private investigation on the role of the VP in her husband's death after several questions linger in the minds of many party functionaries over her conduct soon after the tragedy.
Joice Mujuru is Zimbabwe's first Vice President who at the time of the death of her husband was in separation with him and ironically not at home when a fire broke out at their Beatrice Farm.
According to a senior Zanu PF politburo source, whispers are buzzing within the party that the fiery Vice President, a close Robert Mugabe ally is in the know regarding police investigations.
