Met Dept warns of light rains

The Meteorological Service Department (MSD) has warned of windy conditions, with patchy light rains in most parts of the country from yesterday (Tuesday) until tomorrow.

The department yesterday said most parts of the country would be cloudy during the period.

"Matabeleland South Province, Bulawayo metropolitan, Masvingo Province, south of Midlands Province, Mashonaland East as well as Manicaland provinces are forecast to be mostly cloudy and windy with patchy light rain," the MSD said in a statement.

The MSD said temperatures would remain subdued throughout the day.

"Temperatures should remain subdued throughout the day (today). All other areas are forecast to be mostly partly cloudy. It should be cold in the morning becoming mild from midday onwards," said the MSD.

They said ground frost was not expected in all areas.

"No ground frost is forecast in all provinces. Daytime temperatures will remain suppressed," said the MSD.
