Politburo nullifies Masvingo restructuring

THE Zanu-PF politburo yesterday nullified the recent restructuring exercise conducted in Masvingo province, saying all changes to the existing party structures should follow laid-down procedures.

Party spokesperson, Simon Khaya Moyo told journalists that national commissar, Saviour Kasukuwere had reversed changes made to the Masvingo provincial executive, where perceived G40 members were reassigned to less influential posts, as Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa loyalists flexed their muscle.

Moyo said Finance minister Patrick Chinamasa briefed the politburo on the cash crisis and outlined several proposed interventions to resolve the cash squeeze.
