The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) says the current investigations into the conduct of some public and private officials is a sanctioned operation that will continue without fear or favour.

This came out at a media briefing held at the ZACC headquarters in Harare in response to media reports regarding the recent search warrants issued to some senior government officials by the commission.

ZACC says it will continue discharging its constitutional mandate of combating corruption, abuse of power and misappropriation of funds among others.

Deputy Chair Commissioner of ZACC, Nanethi Silukhuni told journalists that the recent moves by the commissions' investigators was a sanctioned operation conducted within the confines of the law.

The commission said the addressee of the warrants is not a reflection that they committed offences.

ZACC revealed that it is guided by a vision of creating a corrupt free Zimbabwe by 2021.

The latest move by the anti-graft body in which they issued search warrants is the first one since its inception last year.
