ZAPU is inviting people to spend at least 65 minutes doing community work so as to honour Late Joshua Mqabuko Nyongolo Nkomo's work.
Zapu has declared July 01 a Joshua Mqabuko Nyongolo Nkomo day.
ZAPU said it invites all Zimbabweans to spend at least 65 minutes doing community work so as to honour what Nkomo did to the people.
"Nkomo is Zapu founding member and is one of the African leaders who opposed the apartheid and minority rules which were implemented by oppressors to oppress the blacks.
"If people don't honour Nkomo's gift which is Zimbabwe then we are lost. Zimbabweans and the whole world need to join hands and unite during this day irregardless of colour of skin, different ideologies, ethnic background. We need to understand as human beings that if it was not Zapu, we would be still living under harsh conditions, apartheid, segregation and settler brutality.
