MDC-T condemns attack on Harare resident

MDC-T secretary General Douglas Mwonzora has condemned the attack of a Harare resident by Zanu PF supporters during the Local Government Bill public hearing as evil.
Zanu PF supporters attacked Denford Ngadziore after he openly opposed the Local Government Bill during the hearing.
"The attack on Denford Ngadziore by Zanu PF elements during the public hearing on the Local Government Bill in Harare is an act of serious provocation. It is very clear that the bill is unpopular on account of its being unconstitutional," Mwonzora said.
"We must never allow barbarism space in the process of the public hearing on the bill. We can not tolerate violence. We are not surprised that the government through the police have not acted against the perpetrators of this violence. We urge everyone to stand up against this violence."
He said an injury to one is an injury to all, after all it is our Zimbabwe too!
