Mthwakazi Republic Party has revealed that it is working with the Mzilikazi Cultural Association in promoting culture.

The party's spokesperson Mbonisi Gumbo said the association is pro Mthwakazi party.

"We work and collaborate with many organizations both political and civic. We appreciate all efforts being done to revive Mthwakazi, and preserve our diverse cultures in Mthwakazi. We also support all efforts being done," he said.

"We also encourage all our people to take party in all Mthwakazi efforts whether civic, political and or pressure groups especially we young people need to take it upon ourselves to revive Mthwakazi and get our Country working again."

He said the past week they saw for the first time Mthwakazi "ka" Mzilikazi Cultural Association showcasing at the International Tourism event held at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Event duped Hlanganani Expo.

"This is good for Mthwakazi our President toured the stands and he was impressed with the historical information being kept by the Association. The organization is also responsible for organizing the Mzilikazi commemoration once every year, which us as MRP are pleased to participate because each time these events are held they help keep Mthwakazi Restoration Agenda alive. Even though the local media saw nothing to write about Mthwakazi ka Mzilikazi's participation at the Hlanganani Expo we see it as a step in the right direction," he said.

"We would like to encourage all our Mthwakazi people to participate in all Mthwakazi events so as to keep the fire burning especially us the young generation it is important that we know our Historical back ground. On the 10th of September 2016 this year we are all officially invited by Mthwakazi "KA" Mzilikazi Cultural Association to attend this year's planned Mzilikazi commemoration in Matopo area 25 kilometers from Bulawayo but the event will start from Bulawayo's Mzilikazi post office."

He said there are other commemorations in the Mthwakazi events calendar like Gadade and Pupu where King Lobengula's army fought the last battles against the settlers who were heavily armed.

"The Commemorations are spear headed by yet another important organization uMhlahlo We Sizwe sikaMthwakazi. We thank our elders for keeping vital information for us and for continuing arming us with knowledge as we all know that knowledge is power," Gumbo said.

"We are in need of every information that will help us build uMthwakazi.
