Government disrespecting civil servant, says Minister

Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare minister Prisca Mupfumira has revealed that she only got wind of new pay-dates for civil servants through social media.

"I have since made it clear to Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa that this idea of them communicating to the media without consulting us is not good."

She said civil servants feel disrespected by Government.

There is growing speculation that government workers could embark on industrial action over pay delays.
