Public servants mull 'mega' strike

The paper says Government workers are planning a crippling strike after Government announced it would delay paying June salaries. The plan comes after a meeting between Government, the Reserve Bank and civil servants' representatives on Wednesday failed to resolve the salaries crisis.

Progressive Teachers Union leader Raymond Majongwe said teachers would not allow Government to take advantage of them anymore and that if they do not get paid by the 28th they would not go to work.

But the other teachers' union Zimbabwe Democratic Teachers Union said it was still consulting on the way forward.
