Preps for Umdala Wethu gala on course

Preparations for the late Father Zimbabwe, Dr Joshua Nkomo's gala have begun, with the Zanu-PF Youth League Bulawayo chapter organising to host the gala set for the 1st of July, the day the national hero died in 1999.

The revolutionary party's Deputy Secretary for Youth Affairs, Kudzai Chipanga confirmed that the Youth League Bulawayo chapter is organising the commemorations to celebrate the life of Father Zimbabwe.

Chipanga urged the youth and progressive Zimbabweans to throng Bulawayo in their numbers, saying the Umudhala Wethu gala will set the tone for the revival of other galas of founding fathers like the late Vice Presidents: Simon Muzenda, Joseph Msika and Landa John Nkomo.

Various entertainment activities are lined up for the commemorations.
