Police warn criminal elements on protests

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has warned that it will deal ruthlessly with protesters.

Police said it has intelligence pointing to criminal elements behind the social unrest.

Zimbabwe has in past weeks been rocked by violent protests notable being in Beitbridge last Friday.

Today, Harare woke to a string of sporadic street protests.
