Protests are a stomach politics not hidden force ideology- MLF

Mthwakazi Liberation Front has dismissed claims by government officials that the current skirmishes as people protested in Beitbridge were the work of hidden forces and told the government that the protests were due to stomach politics as people are hungry and angry.

Bulawayo MLF spokesperson Ndabezinhle Fuyane said the protests were the politics called stomach politics where people rise and stage demonstrations without a leader but being driven by hunger and anger.

"People have learnt it the hard way in voting for the government that has tormented its people by banning the importing of basic commodities which it has failed to provide to its population," he said. "The recent demos at Beitbridge border post on Friday sends a clear  message to this government that it has totally failed. I wonder if the police and the army guys feed from a different pot than any Zimbabwean."

Fuyane said the demonstrations are just a shadow or a prophecy of what is to follow.

"The present government need to expect a lot from those indications,they need to be geared for the pandemonium hullabaloo in the next coming phase which make history of itself ever in Zimbabwe which will result in Gukurahundi phase 2," he said. "The ruling party will use it as the loophole to intensify its genocidal acts basing on the fact that people from Mthwakazi region have adopted the dissident style of doing things which never happened before."

Fuyane said  Zanu PF just need to swallow its pride and the  time is now.

"CIO s are used in schools purported as teachers in areas like NKAYI, Lupane and other related areas to instill fear to locals so that they carry out their operations unnoticeable while in the guise of teachers," he said. "The true colors of the Zanu PF grand plan is now,this is surprisingly happening in Mthwakazi region only,which other evidence can be drawn out from the few activities highlights that this government is bully and shameless."

He said Gukurahundi genocidal atrocities will never again happen in this region but rather the opposite is true.

"Shonas have to feel the same pain. I know the ware house which was burnt to ashes in Beitbridge was full of shona thieved properties, but this time around they have tested their own spoil," he said. "However, there is need for people to support each other and unite for one cause as a legacy left by uMdala wethu. He always preached the gospel of  unity. It was in the wake of such incidents that invited unity. Divided we fall,united we stand. The police are a pathetic entity who cannot measure the call of their operations, versus their plight,they become the Zanu PF machinery."
