The government says it has opened its doors for continued negotiations with civil servants to ensure the salary grievances are amicable resolved.

The Acting Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, Supa Mandiwanzira reassured civil servants of the government's commitment to pay their salaries, adding that they are still waiting to hear from the Apex Council following their initial negotiations.

Mandiwanzira added that the government is faced with financial challenges hence the decision to stagger pay dates.

The government has been receiving limited cash flows which has resulted in the delays in paying the civil service.
