Striking rural teachers harassed

Teachers in rural area are reportedly being harassed by Civil Service Commission officials.
Teachers embarked on strike Tuesday morning protesting over unpaid June salaries.
However, Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe has said some of their members on strike have been victimised.
It posted on its official twitter account "@RuralTeacherZim "Inspectors from Civil Service Commission threatening Trs on strike. we urge Teachers to remain resolute and ignore the empty threats".
Bulawayo24.com heard that there was no learning in schools in Mangwe while in Gwanda some teachers didn't go to school.
Earlier on some teachers in Bulawayo said they would knock of at 11am.
