Prominent Zipra war hero dies

Liberation war hero and stalwart Norman Mabhena has died, at Mpilo hospital.

Very Shaken family members who spoke to us said the former Zapu Central Committee member who later joined the MDC led by Morgan Tsvangirai has been unwell for some time with a heart ailment.

"He has been unwell for some time with a heart ailment. State health system failed Norman Mabhena as his colleagues have been trying to raise funds for him to travel to India for heart surgery," a family member said. We  will update on funeral arrangements as they come in.
