#ThisFlag Pastor Evan Mawarire advised Zimbabweans not to hold back the rebuilding of their country in case he is never seen again after his arrest. Mawarire made the remarks before handing himself to the police.

"Zimbabweans, don't ever hold back on rebuilding your country…. maybe we shall never see each other again," he said.

Former ZBC presenter Eric Knight said those are the last words tweeted by Pastor Evan Mawarire the man behind the ‪#‎This‬ Flag campaign to restore democracy and justice in our land, just before being arrested for 'inciting public violence' .

"A man who clearly has been emphasizing that people should stay away from violence. He is now being charged under Section 36. Surely surely or Verily Verily as Jesus said, some people will pay heavily for this. 15 Billion dollars disappear, no one arrested," he said. "A man calls the government to stop corruption and to do the will of the people, he is arrested. To the nation I can assure you, we are watching with an open eye like a hawk.Ladies and and gentlemen,"

He said God is not a fool and nothing can be hidden from His eyes and ears. "I will borrow Simon Chimbetu's lyrics off his song 'Lullaby'..Nyarara Mawarire, Usacheme yawarota iyi hondo. Nekuti Uchakura. Apo Uchasanganiswa navo, ivo vanehutsinye, vanosunga chero mwana wamwari. Nyangwe, vakurove, uvasiye, nyangwe vakusunge uvasiye, nyangwe vakuvharire uvasiye. Vanoponda chero nherera. Vachamuona Nyamasimba kana vachinge vakokiwa. Vachamuona Nyamasimba kana vachinge vadaniwa," he said.

"Nyarara Dzamara, usacheme yawarota iyi hondo. Kunyangwe vakuponde uvasiye. This year they will have to arrest all of us. Enough is enough. This is about the nation, not an individual and not a Party. Lord hear your people's cry. Blood and tears have been flowing for too long Lord. Our time has come. God bless Zimbabwe! God bless Africa!"
