Provincial Affairs Minister for Bulawayo Sandi Moyo recently called for the preservation of the late former colonialist Cecil John Rhodes' grave in Matopos for the sake of enabling the country to continue receiving tourism revenue from the visitors from Britain.
Speaking recently in Bulawayo Moyo said the British were visiting Zimbabwe to view Rhodes' grave hence the country was gaining revenue from the grave.
"We must keep the grave of Cecil John Rhodes because we receive revenue from the visitors who come to see the grave of their hero hear," she said.
Moyo's remarks are contrary for some Zanu PF activists and war veterans who in the past wanted to uproot his remains and send them to his home country Britain but were blocked by the government.
The grave have remained of great benefit to the nation as the Britons continue to visit the grave and pay revenue as tourists.
