MDC-T President Morgan Tsvangirai has been hailed for appointing a youthful Nelson Chamisa as his Vice President at the time when President Robert Mugabe has refused to step down and hand power to a younger person.
Former ZBC presenter and MDC-T member Eric Knight said it was pleasing for young people to be entrusted with sure great jobs.·
"Ladies and Gentlemen join me in congratulating my best friend and brother Nelson Chamisa for being appointed Vice President of the MDC. He has been appointed alongside veteran Politician Elias Mudzuri," he said.
"For me it is a very prudent move when younger politicians are trusted to take up such key positions. Talk of grooming and preparation for succession at a good time, I want to applaud Morgan Tsvangirai for taking such a move. Success without a successor is failure at any level.
"Take a look at what the succession issue has done to my country in other circles. Appointing Nelly alongside more experienced political players like Mudzuri is even great news.
"To Nelson Chamisa I say, humble yourself my brother as usual. As a God fearing man blessed with incredible intelligence and super-fluent in speech, I have no doubt that my country has a future leader in you. God bless Zimbabwe! God bless Africa!," Eric Knight said.
Chamisa is reportedly now the second Vice president while Mudzuri is the third Vice president. They are joining Thokozani Khupe who is the first Vice President.
