Three nabbed for selling counterfeit seed

Police Officers from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Law and Order section have arrested three people in connection with selling counterfeit SEEDCO seed at a hardware in Mbare.
CID National Spokesperson, Inspector Augustine Zimbili confirmed that the suspects are in custody, adding that investigations are in progress.
Inspector Zimbili said the trio was nabbed following a tip off from members of the public and a subsequent search conducted by detectives resulted in the recovery of 2 545 kilogrammes of the fake SEEDCO seed.
