Zimbabwe People First leader Joyce Mujuru has revealed that President Robert Mugabe personally entered into classified secret deals with diamond mining firms in Chiadzwa.
Mujuru who was Mugabe's deputy for ten years distanced herself from the looting.
She said her portfolio in government was limited to social ministries excluding financial ministries.
"I was a Vice President concerned with ministries that we may call social, I did not oversee financial ministries like mining" she told a rally in Mutare at the weekend.
"They then started peddling lies that I was involved in Chiadzwa, but all this was cleared.
"There were companies operating there like Ainjin, who sent them?.
"Only the President knows because there was no body that processed licenses for them.
"It was only between the President and the Minister only," she said.
In March, Mugabe revealed that $15 billion worth of diamond revenue was looted.
However, no one has been arrested.
