Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa has hinted that he is in the dark over civil servants' July pay dates.
The military which is traditionally paid on the 14th of each month was not paid last week.
The Government delayed paying civil servants their June salaries, citing cash flow constraints, resulting in some of the workers downing tools last week.
According to media reports from Kigali, Rwanda where Chinamasa is currently at, he couldn't say whether the government has money to pay salaries due at the end of July.
"We have to work frantically to raise the money for salaries for July and for subsequent months," he is quoted saying.
Civil servants representatives and the Government where expected to meet today in Harare to discuss pay dates and modalities for July salaries.
