South Sudan appeals to Mugabe to press upon Omar al-Bashir

A special envoy of South Sudan President Salva Kiir, Mr. James Wani Igga who is also a speaker of parliament met Zimbabwe's Acting President John Landa Nkomo.
The South Sudan envoy delivered a special message to Nkomo, appealing to President Robert Mugabe to press upon Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to implement the terms of the peace agreement which brought peace to South Sudan.
Mr. Igga said the Sudanese leader Omar al-Bashir has reneged on the obligations of the peace agreement, including the issue of Abeiye.
The South Sudan envoy had also been invited to Zimbabwe to attend the Dag Hammarskjold Day commemorations at Africa University.
