Kushinga housing cooperative collecting fees from every household

Harare Residents Trust has said the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Cooperative Development Administrator, Mukonoweshure is using the Kugarika Kushinga housing cooperative Management Committee to collect a US$10.00 fee from every household in Kugarika Kushinga whereas development last took place some years back.
The trust said Kugarika Kushinga has 855 households, the cooperative management committee collects $8 550.00 per month.
"Mukonoweshure told the residents of Kugarika Kushinga that from the money collected he takes 30% of the money for his personal use. This matter is of concern to residents as they can no longer afford the administration fee given that there is no development taking place and the money is benefiting individuals," said the trust.
