Former ZANU PF legislator Temba Mliswa has vowed to campaign for MDC-T vice president to be the country's next leader.
Mliswa said he is trilled by Chamisa's elevation.
He claimed that Chamisa is not corrupt, but is charismatic and articulate on issues unlike Zanu PF national commissar Saviour Kasukuwere and others in Zanu PF who are embedded in corruption.
"I have to be honest and congratulate the appointment of Nelson Chamisa into the presidium of the MDC," he said.
"The elevation of the youth is a clear sign that the Yard ideals have been appreciated by major players in politics," he said.
"His elevation falls under the purview of Yard to see young people in power. We are looking towards having young people who are credible and not corrupt to take leadership positions.
Mliswa added that even if he had presidential ambitions he would willingly stand aside and campaign for Chamisa as he pushes for a youthful president in 2023.
